Riverton Community Market

Welcome to the Riverton Community Market!

We run the Riverton Community Market on the last Sunday of every month from 10 - 2pm.  The venue is Flecks Hall on Riverton main street (Palmerston Street), opposite the supermarket.    

​

Our intention is to bring our community together, support local enterprise, provide opportunity for local people to sell their crafts, products & produce, create opportunities to meet local suppliers, increase local food resilience and have fun!  We are keen to encourage children with their enterprises and also support local fundraisers. We LOVE live music - if you are a musician and would like to busk for an hour or half hour slot at the market please contact me to pick your time slot.

We are encouraging:

• locally made crafts, products and foods

• spray-free / organic produce and plants

• environmentally friendly packaging - avoiding plastic if possible unless it is recycling/reusing

Kindly note:  

• It’s the stall-holders responsibility to ensure any compliance needs are met

• There will be an option to set up on the Saturday afternoon - please let me know if you are interested in this option so I can keep you informed as to the time.

• Stall-holders can start setting up from 8.30am in Fleck's Hall on the Sunday and should be set-up and ready for customers by no later than 9.45am.  

• We ask that stall holders please stay until 2pm unless completely sold out.

• Please ensure that you bring your own table.

• Once you have unloaded, please move your vehicle further away from the venue to make it easier for customers to stop and call in.  Parking is available on Havelock st, Bath road and Napier street.

Pricing for market space:

• $15 for up to 2 meters (- a standard trestle table measures 1.8 by 0.75m). 

• $10 per meter thereafter. 

Please measure up the space that you will need and provide those measurements to us when you book.  Your stall fee can then be paid into the following bank account in advance to secure your spot.  Please supply your stallholder name as a reference.
